The Sports Corp is gearing up for another great season of unique community events! As always, these events would not be possible without the support and promotion of our amazing local, regional and national media partners.

Interview requests and additional media inquiries can be directed to Molly Sharples, Sports Corp Event Coordinator at molly@thesportscorp.org. Ideally, interviews should be scheduled at a minimum three weeks prior to each event to allow time to coordinate guests.

Rocky Moutain State Games

July 17-19 & 24-26

The Rocky Mountain State Games (RMSG) is Colorado’s largest multi-sport festival for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities including those with physical disabilities or visual impairment. This year marks the 18th annual event and more than 6,000-8,000 athletes are expected to participate in 20+ sports! Early registration discounts are available at RockyMountainStateGames.org.

Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb

August 8

The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb will feature a competitive race & timed, non-competitive fun rides that give cyclists of all abilities a truly unique experience on Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.

Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

August 30

The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, brought to you by Gran Turismo, will celebrate the 98th running of the Race to the Clouds on Sunday, August 30. Thousands of fans and auto racing enthusiasts will come from around the world to witness America’s 2nd oldest auto race and enjoy Fan Fest in downtown Colorado Springs on Friday, August 28.

Labor Day Lift Off

September 5-7

The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off continues a 44-year tradition of a hot air balloon event in Colorado Springs. This historical event has been one of the top ten largest hot air balloon events in the United States and will draw more than 165,000 attendees to Memorial Park over the holiday weekend.

Event goers will enjoy early morning balloon launches and evening balloon glows as well as fun for the entire family!

Each morning first wave of balloons will lift off at 7:00 a.m. and balloon glows will occur at 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday evening with live music to entertain.

MEDIA DAY:Limited space is available and applications are required for media personnel who would like to participate in the balloon rides during Labor Day Lift Off Media Day on Friday, September 4 from 6:00-9:00 a.m. at Memorial Park. To submit an application and learn more, click here.

Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack

September 19-20

Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack is a half-mile, side-by-side roll race and trap speed competition featuring hundreds of the fastest, most powerful street cars in the nation. The Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack is the only event in the country where participants have the opportunity to come together at a commercial airport the size and importance of the Colorado Springs Airport while competing for the title of the Mile High Victor.
