Registration Entry Fees and Deadlines

  • Fee: $20 for first event; $10 for each additional event

All athletes participating in Track & Field must sign the following USATF waiver/release form before participating.  To expedite this process, download the waiver, read, sign and bring it to check in prior to competing.  Children who are under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign.  
MILITARY SUPPORT PROGRAM:
The Military Support Program has been created to allow active duty and retired service members, their spouses and dependents to participate in the Rocky Mountain State Games with up to a 50% discount off the normal registration fees. Pole Vault

(Pole Vault event ONLY held at Frank Flood Track, Colorado College)

Pole Vault Competition Procedures – Pole Vault will be run in four flights. Each flight will be composed of males and females based upon starting height. Each flight will be run to completion and results will be posted after all entries in that particular age group are complete. Ties will not be broken. The increments will remain at 15cm throughout all competitions.

High School and Middle School athletes will be weighed.

  • Flight 1 (start time 8:30am): Starting height 1.55m (5’ 1″) to 2.90m (9’ 6 ½”). Warm-ups begin at 7:30am.
  • Flight 2 (30 minutes following Flight 1, approximately 10:30am): Starting height 3.05m (10’) to 3.80m (12’ 5 ½”).
  • Flight 3 (30 minutes following Flight 2, approximately 12:30pm): Starting height 3.95m (12’ 11 ½”) and higher.
  • Flight 4 MASTERS ONLY (30 minutes following Flight 3, approximately 1:30pm): Starting height 1.55m (5’ 1”) and higher.

Since the size of the fields will not be finalized until the day before the event, please show up at least one hour prior to the proposed start time. If the fields are small, the follow-on competitions may start much earlier than proposed.

Note: Age determination date is December 31, 2020, however if record attempts are being made at the Rocky Mountain State Games Track & Field meet, please confirm you are in the correct division by USATF sanctioning rules and age calculation dates. 

Competition Rules and Format:
Modified rules of USA Track and Field (www.usatf.org) will govern competition. This is a sanctioned event of the Colorado Association of USA Track & Field.  Competition will consist of final heats. 
 
Athletes participating in field events are expected to provide their own implements and instruments and present them to the Weights & Measures Official prior to competition. For the complete implement reference sheet, click here. Please see additonal note below for field events:
  • Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus & Javelin – 4 attempts per event, no finals
Athletes will be required to provide proof of age with a driver’s license, passport or birth certificate, upon request from the RMSG Commissioner.
Please do not bring pets, sunflower seeds, sports drinks and outside food to the Cheyenne Mountain High School stadium. These items are not allowed.
