Competition Rules and Format

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain State Games (RMSG) Pickleball Tournament
RMSG is Colorado’s largest multi-sport festival for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities, including those with physical disabilities or visual impairment. The pickleball events will be held in Colorado Springs at The Springs (Powers location) new pickleball indoor facility – July 16-29, 2026
USA Pickleball Association (usapa.org) rules will govern this competition.
ALL Round Robin with playoffs for Gold/Silver/Bronze. All games/matches are win by 2. Most Round Robins are 1 to 15 but may change based on the number of players in the event. If an event has 7 or 8 teams, round-robin matches will be 1 to 11 by 2.
Top 4 teams go to the playoff (Lead in matches are 1 to 15 with the Gold Match with the option of 2/3-11w/2 or 1 to 15. Bronze Match 1 to 15).
TD may combine or separate brackets as needed to ensure quality play.

Players will self-rate and cannot play lower than their USA Pickleball Tournament Player Rating (UTPR). Players may only play up in skill .5 from their profile rating. Tournament Director reserves the right to correct underrated players. We ask that all players respect the integrity of the game and of each event by entering at their most accurate skill level.

Using the Franklin X-40 ball
All paddles must be USAP sanctioned tournament approved.
Tournament may close at any time if maximum daily numbers are met (even if some events appear to have openings). Tournament Director, Springs Pickleball, and Sports Corp reserves the right to make any changes and refuse service at any time.
