2019 State Games of America

Lynchburg, Virginia

July 31 - August 4, 2019 

A property of the National Congress of State Games, the State Games of America is a biennial amateur multi-sport event for athletes of all ages. Medal winners from the 31 states conducting statewide sports festivals, known as State Games, are eligible for this event. The 2019 State Games of America will be hosted in Lynchburg, Virginia on July 31 - August 4. For complete details on the 2019 State Games of America, click here. 

State Games athletes compete in Olympic or Pan American sports as well as a variety of local favorites. 

Medal winners from the 2017 & 2018 Rocky Mountain State Games or any previous State Games of America will qualify for the 2019 SGA.  Athletes are also able to register for participation sports.  Click here for more info.

This event will be hosted by the City of Lynchburg and the Virginia Commonwealth Games.  

Medal winners from the 2019 & 2020 Rocky Mountain State Games will qualify for the 2021 State Games of America in Ames, IA. A complete list of qualifying sports for the 2021 SGA is coming soon.
