Youth Education Sport

YES Program

The Youth Education Sport (YES) Program was developed by Colorado Springs Sports Corporation as a free after-school sports program designed to offer students the ability to learn many sports and life skills throughout the school year. In partnership with Colorado Springs School District 11 (D11) and Skyhawks Sports, the YES Program is held at D11 elementary school gymnasiums, for easy after-school access for all registered students. The program fills a void of after-school sports for underserved students in the local community. Each sport session is led by coaches certified through Skyhawks Sports, to ensure proper fundamentals are being taught. Students learn the skills of each sport as well as teamwork, sportsmanship, and more importantly build friendships along the way. This innovative after-school sports initiative aims to foster healthy lifestyles, improve physical fitness, and enhance social development among elementary-aged children.
