Colorado Springs Sports Corporation (CSSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit established in 1979 to assist in the relocation of the U.S. Olympic Committee from New York City to Colorado Springs.

CSSC’s mission is to inspire and advance Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA, and the Pikes Peak Region through sport and community events. Through event promotion and community development activities, CSSC plays a critical role in bringing civic leaders together with some of the nation’s premier sporting organizations to promote tourism and create positive economic impact.

To celebrate the unique sports legacy and community traditions in the Pikes Peak Region, CSSC hosts annual signature and partnership events including The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit, Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off, Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame, Pikes Peak APEX, Pikes Peak Regional Airshow, Rocky Mountain State Games, Star-Spangled Symphony & July 4th Block Party, and various sport centric celebrations. In addition, supporting the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, National and International Governing Bodies of Sport, and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum remains a staple component of the overall mission.

To exemplify CSSC’s dedication to making Colorado Springs a sports destination as “Olympic City USA,” the organization has also been integrally involved in the production of many other high profile single or multi-year events including: Colorado Classic events, FISU World University Championships, International Downhill Federation Pikes Peak World Cup, Mavic Haute Route Rockies, NCAA National Championships, NORCECA Men’s & Women’s Volleyball World Championship Qualifier, Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack, Pikes Peak International Auto Show, State Games of America, State Games of the West, The National Congress of State Games Symposium, The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, The US Women’s National Hockey Team USA vs Finland Game, U.S. Open Ultimate Championships, US Senior Open, US Women’s Open, USA Archery National Championships, USA Archery National Target Championships, USA Boxing National Championships, USA Cycling Hill Climb National Championships, USA Karate All American Classic, USA Pro Challenge, Warrior Games, and more.
