  • RMSG Sports Directors reserve the right to combine, cancel or modify divisions or competition format at their discretion based on final registration.
  • Competitors can register for one handgun division and/or one rifle division.
  • Target distances are 7-20 yards for handgun and 7-35 yards for rifle.
  • .22 LR Steel speed shooting competition consisting of four strings of fire on four different stages, 5 to 7 targets per stage.
  • Final results are ranked fastest to slowest within each division.
  • Overall medals will be awarded for 1st – 3rd place in each division.
  • Rimfire Challenge Shooting Association (RCSA) rules (www.rimfirechallenge.org) will govern all events with the following exceptions:
    • Competition format will consist of four strings of fire per stage.
    • Competitors are not required to shoot both handgun and rifle.

Required Equipment

    • Competitors must provide their own equipment (ammunition and handgun and/or rifle). Safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
    • A .22 LR Handgun and/or a .22 LR rifle with a minimum of three magazines. Five magazines are recommended.
    • It is recommended that each competitor have 120 rounds of .22 ammunition per division. Ammunition cannot exceed 1,300 FPS.

All registration sales are final. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations, postponements, or interruptions caused by weather, natural events, acts of God, or any circumstances beyond the control of the Rocky Mountain State Games (RMSG).

RMSG reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to offer credits or registration transfers in special cases; however, these are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

If you believe a refund is warranted and falls outside the policy stated above, your request must be submitted in writing within 14 days following the event date. Refund requests received more than 14 days after the event will not be considered.

By registering, athletes acknowledge and accept these terms as part of their agreement to participate.
