Join the team behind some of Colorado’s biggest and most iconic events — including the Labor Day Lift Off, Rocky Mountain State Games, Pikes Peak APEX, Pikes Peak Regional Airshow, and the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame.
An internship with Colorado Springs Sports Corporation is your chance to gain real-world experience in sports tourism, large-scale event management, and community engagement. Interns work side-by-side with professionals to plan and deliver citywide experiences that attract hundred-thousands of participants and spectators to Olympic City USA.
You’ll get hands-on exposure to event operations, marketing, logistics, sponsorship, and volunteer coordination while learning how major events come to life from start to finish.
Internships are offered seasonally with part-time and full-time opportunities. Candidates should be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating unforgettable experiences through sport.

Marketing & Development
Support The Sports Corp’s year-round event calendar by assisting with content creation, social media, media relations, and brand messaging. Gain hands-on experience crafting communications that reflect Colorado’s vibrant sports culture while promoting community engagement and event visibility.

Event Management
The primary focus of this internship will be to assist staff with all areas of preparation for CSSC events, including The Broadmoor Winter Polo Classic, the Sports Corp Golf Tournament, The Olympic and Paralympic Summer Fest, Star Spangled Symphony and July 4th Fireworks, Rocky Mountain State Games, and Labor Day Lift Off. Interns will also work in some capacity on additional events organized and executed by The Sports Corp.

Fellowship

Colorado Springs Sports Corp Fellowship Program
The primary focus of this Fellowship will be to manage the Tom Falgien Youth Scholarship Fund and support Rocky Mountain State Games and Colorado Senior Games with operations and outreach support. Additionally, the fellow will assist staff and take the lead on several areas of preparation for CSSC events, including the Star Spangled Symphony & Fourth of July Fireworks, Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off, and The Broadmoor Cycle to the Summit.

Internship FAQs
What are the application deadlines?
CSSC accepts applications on a rolling basis until positions are filled. Each term has a final cutoff date:
Spring Internships: Final acceptance by December 15
Summer Internships: Final acceptance by March 1
Fall Internships: Final acceptance by July 15
Note: Most interns are selected months in advance—apply early.
What is the duration & time commitment of each internship?
Spring Internship (January–May)
– Duration: 16–18 weeks
– Hours: 20–25 hours/week
– Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm
– Additional evenings/weekends during peak event weeks
Summer Internship (May–August)
– Duration: 12–14 weeks
– Hours: 35–40 hours/week
– Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm
– Additional evenings/weekends during major summer events
Fall Internship (September–December)
– Duration: 16–18 weeks
– Hours: 20–25 hours/week
– Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–4:00 pm
– Additional evenings/weekends during event operations
Note: Start Dates and End Dates can be flexible upon communication.
Can I earn academic credit?
Yes. All internships are eligible for college credit, depending on your school’s requirements. CSSC provides midterm/final evaluations and any needed documentation.
Are internships paid?
Internships are unpaid, but each includes a completion stipend:
– Spring/Fall: $1,000 stipend
– Summer: $2,750 stipend
Do interns work onsite during events?
Yes. Interns are heavily involved in event setup, execution, and teardown. Expect early mornings, long operational days, and hands-on responsibilities that directly support event success.
Do I need to be a student to apply?
While the program is designed for college students and recent graduates, applicants with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
